Britney Spears' ex-boyfriend Charlie Ebersol has revealed, via Us Weekly, that he was once asked to be The Bachelor years ago but he turned down the gig—and doesn't regret his decision.
"They asked me to do The Bachelor a bunch of years ago and it was the most awkward phone call I have ever been a part of in my entire life," Ebersol dished in the publication's latest 25 Things You Don't Know About Me feature. "There's no way in hell I'm ever doing it."
He also revealed that he does not watch the reality show and said his favorite Britney Spears song is "Stronger."
Spears and Ebersol split in June after about eight months of dating.
Over the weekend, the 33-year-old pop princess seemingly dissed her ex when she discussed her relationship status at her Las Vegas show.
"Being single for a year has been very, very, very profound and I feel like all men should suck my toe!" she said after performing "Slave 4 U" (perhaps she forgot about Ebersol?).
Meanwhile, it was officially announced on Monday that 26-year-old software salesman Ben Higgins, who made it to the final three on Kaitlyn Bristowe's season, will be the next Bachelor.
"It's incredible. I think people like me don't get opportunities like this," the ever-humble Ben said about his new gig. "I never would have thought this opportunity would be something I could have, but I'm excited. Everything leading up to this has been incredible."
