Saturday Night Live veteran Jane Curtin guest stars as Judge Farley and we're already not-so-secretly hoping she becomes a recurring player. You can never have too much Jane Curtin. Meanwhile, Mo Rocca returns as journalist Ted Willoughby. Familiar recurring faces Chris Noth (Peter Florrick on the series), Jerry Adler (Howard Lyman) and Michael J. Fox (Louis Canning) are also set to appear. And Mackenzie Vega, Grace Florrick on the CBS drama, will appear in her new recurring capacity.
In "Grunts," Alicia (Julianna Margulies) is still on her quest to revive her law career and she starts representing arrestees seeking release on bail in bond court. It's there she meets Lucca Quinn (new addition Jumbo) as they compete for clients. Meanwhile, Peter brings in Ruth Eastman (The Americans star Martindale) to help with his presidential campaign. Yep, that's happening. You knew that. Expect some clashes with Eli Gold (Alan Cumming)!
Other guest stars in the season seven premiere include Agent Carter's Bridget Regan and Christopher McDonald.
Christine Baranski, Matt Czuchry, Alan Cumming and Zach Grenier are returning as series regulars alongside Margulies. Archie Panjabi and Matthew Goode are off the show as series regulars.
The Good Wife returns on Sunday, Oct. 4 at 9 p.m. on CBS.
