Splash NewsKelly Clarkson was rocking sequins when she announced her second pregnancy onstage last Wednesday, but she was (understandably) dressed down a bit from that when she first stepped out following her big reveal.
On Tuesday, the 33-year-old singer was spotted in L.A. Tuesday wearing jeans, a flannel button-down shirt, super cute flats and a Jimmy Kimmel Live! hat. This was actually the first glimpse of Kelly's tiny baby bump that we've seen off-stage, but River Rose Blackstock's mama is keeping those pregnancy curves under wraps for now.
Kelly didn't actually plan to share her big news in concert last week, but as she told the audience at L.A.'s Staples Center, hormones got the best of her! "I didn't want you to think I'm on pills or something," she joked. She also apologized to hubby Brandon Blackstock for spilling the beans early, saying her announcement "wasn't planned!"
"Everything is great," she reassured the crowd. "I haven't vomited yet. That's a win y'all."
The former American Idol winner's pregnancy with daughter daughter River Rose, who turned 1 on June, was famously difficult. "I don't know why they call it morning sickness because it's like all day and all night," she told Today's Savannah Guthrie during the early stages of her first pregnancy.
She later revealed to Nick Grimshaw on BBC's Radio 1 Breakfast Show that she had to be hospitalized during her pregnancy with River Rose. "It was just kind of a bad pregnancy," she explained. "So I had to take off way more time than normal."
Let's hope the second time around continues to be smoother sailing for Kelly!
