How I Met Your Mother fans know that Barney (Neil Patrick Harris) always thought that Johnny (William Zabka) was the real hero of The Karate Kid and not Daniel (Ralph Macchio). But finally we have solid and well thought-out evidence that Daniel was just a big ol' bully and Johnny was the victim.

In a YouTube video posted by J. Matthew Turner, we get a very compelling recap of the original Karate Kid that forces us to look at it from Johnny's point of view. Daniel is basically a "violent sociopath who moves to a California town and begins tormenting a local boy and his friends" while Johnny is just the "flawed hero." And Mr. Miyagi? "Demon sorcerer, local busybody and child batterer."

Plus there's the fact that Daniel won the big fight with an ILLEGAL MOVE! Sorry, after all these years that still grinds our gears.

Does all this mean that Jaden Smith is the enemy? Well, we kind of figured as much anyway.
