The 27-year-old rapper says police at Los Angeles International Airport handcuffed him on Saturday after he refused to ditch his hoverboard, a wheeled toy ridden standing up that is marketed under several brand names. Police had no immediate comment. Wiz's real name, Cameron Thomaz, does not appear in arrest records.

The hip-hop star was photographed riding the toy, which is gold-plated, at the airport last week, five days before the incident. On Saturday, he posted on his Instagram page a video that shows what appear to be three uniformed officers restraining him on the ground, with his arms pinned behind his back. One of them says, "Stop resisting."

"I'm not resisting, Sir," the rapper replies calmly.

"3 cops yell stop resisting," Wiz wrote. "Only thing to do is let em know. I'm not resisting, I'm doin what I want."

"Haven't been slammed and cuffed in a while," Wiz tweeted. "That was fun."

"All because I didn't want to ditch the technology everyone will be using in the next six months," he added, alongside another video showing him talking to authorities. "Do what you want kids."

"Over a damn hoverboard? Haha that's hilarious!" a Twitter user wrote to Wiz.

"What's even funnier than them not bein able to do s--t is they'll be riding them soon as well," he replied. "Maybe ones I design."

"I stand for our generation and our generation is gonna be riding hover boards so if you don't like it eat a dick!" he later said, adding, "I got some awesome weed and a bad one to roll it for me so it's all good."

Wiz had also taken to social media after another incident involving police in 2014. He was arrested in Texas on suspicion of possessing half a gram of marijuana, a misdemeanor in that state. Wiz lives in California, where people can possess and use certain amounts of pot for medicinal purposes.

After the arrest, he posted on his Twitter page a selfie from jail. In June, he pleaded guilty to possession of paraphernalia and paid a $500 fine.
