Like daughter like mother? Almost!

Dancing With the Stars offered Demi Moore a spot for the upcoming 21st season, but she has turned it down, E! News has learned exclusively. ABC does not comment on casting rumors.

Moore was a regular presence in the ballroom during season 20 as Rumer Willis, her oldest daughter with Bruce Willis, competed, going onto win the mirrorball trophy with partner Val Chmerkovskiy.

It would have been an epic follow-up, of course, to have Demi on board (no question the 52-year-old could still rock the glitter and spandex!), but we are told it's definitely not happening—at least, not this time around.

So who else is in for the new season? Well, according to sources connected to the show, Nick Carter and Alexa Vega are in talks, but haven't yet signed contracts.

E! News also has learned that Jodie Sweetin also was offered a DWTS gig and very much wanted to do the show, but had to back out because of her new Netflix series Fuller House, which is currently in production. So...there's always next year? And maybe she can bring Uncle Jesse along?

Caitlyn Jenner and Rick Schroeder also were approached by DWTS, but turned it down. Schroeder is instead starring in NBC's Coat of Colors, the movie based on Dolly Parton's life--he'll play her father. And Jenner, of course, is currently starring in E!'s I Am Cait on Sunday nights.

One cast member who is 100 percent confirmed this season? Bindi Irwin, the daughter of the late Steve Irwin and Terri Irwin.

"I'm really, really excited and so honored to be a part of this new journey and new chapter of my life," she said on GMA ealier this morning. "I have to tell you, this is completely different to anything I have ever done in my life. I'm used to wrangling crocodiles!"

The full DWTS season 20 cast will be revealed Sept. 2 on Good Morning America

We're still holding out hope that Demi will change her mind. After all, Rumer first joined the ABC reality show, she told E! News that  Moore was "excited and supportive," though Demi originally admitted her "whole insides...were screaming 'No!'" when her daughter said she was doing DWTS. So...maybe she just needs a little time? We can dream.

DWTS returns Monday, Sept. 14 on ABC.
