Watch: "Fear" Stars Want to Fight "Walking Dead" Cast!

The Fear the Walking Dead cast has a really complicated relationship with Andrew Lincoln's Rick Grimes.

Not only is he a popular pick for who their new characters would get along with the best from the original series, but he's also the main pick for who they'd clash with the most, as they told us when we sat down with stars Cliff Curtis, Kim Dickens, Alycia Debnam-Carey, and Frank Dillane during this year's San Diego Comic-Con.

It makes sense in terms of the fact that Rick is a very complicated guy, but it makes even more sense when you consider who the characters are in this new series.

While Kim Dickens plays a high school guidance counselor, Cliff Curtis plays an English teacher who "just wants to get along with everybody." Rick Grimes, on the other hand, seems just a little bit too cool for school.

Press play above to hear what they had to say!

"I'd want to get along, but I think I probably would not agree with how he behaves," Curtis reveals. "I just think it's unacceptable, and I think we should go and talk to the principal about it."

At the same time, the cast is also prepared to fight over their love for Lincoln and his ruthless anti-hero sheriff, so like we said, it's complicated. Very complicated.

What's not so complicated is the fact that this show—a family drama set right on the verge of a total zombie apocalypse—is a must see this Sunday night, even if Rick Grimes is too busy being in a coma to show up.

Fear The Walking Dead's 90-minute premiere airs Sunday, Aug. 23 at 9 p.m. on AMC.
