It has only been a couple of days since Julianne Hough and Brooks Laich announced their engagement, but the Dancing With the Stars champion is already talking about plans for her wedding!

Hough took to Instagram and her personal blog Wednesday to share another adorable photo of her and her new fiancé, which showed them kissing in front of a very scenic background. Her caption not only updates her fans and followers about the exciting week she has had but also promises some "exclusive details" about her big day!

"What a week it's been! I'm just so happy and feeling so loved from all of you, and wanted to give you a quick update on everything. I can't wait to share our wedding planning adventures with you over the next few months -- you guys always give the best advice!" she wrote.

The Safe Haven actress also added a few more details on her blog, where she wrote she would be taking a "slight social media time out" to enjoy the news with Laich. "Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the outpouring of love and well wishes surrounding my engagement! This is certainly one of the most exciting times in my life and I am so happy to share it with you all!"

"That said, I'm going to take a slight social media time out to enjoy this special time with my fiance (!)... When I return to writing in a few days, I promise some exclusive details and pics just for you, so stay tuned!"

Hough and the Washington Capitals athlete began dating in December 2013 after mutual friend Teddy Sears introduced them. This will be the first marriage for both, although Hough was engaged to dancer Zach Wilson until 2007. Laich proposed in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, where Hough's grandparents live.

Although they both have fallen deeply in love with one another, the two both joked that upon meeting they hadn't known about each other's careers. Laich confessed on 106.7 The Fan, "To be honest, I had never seen an episode of Dancing With the Stars, but in my defense, she had never seen a Caps game either until she met Teddy."

But together they both started watching hockey and dancing competitions, and became the happy couple they are today! "She's a cool, cool gal," he later gushed. "She's just a sweetheart, very loving, very giving. She puts so much great out into the world. I'm a pretty lucky guy."
