Oh, Grey's Anatomy. You're still making our hearts soar (and ache) even when you're on hiatus. Sandra Oh took to Twitter to share a reunion photo with Kevin McKidd and...CRISTINA, PLEASE COME BACK.

It was her first tweet since May 18. What a way to come back to the Twitterverse, Sandra! "me & @TheRealKMcKidd at his belated bday dinner. May u catch Brave New Waves all this year dearest friend," she said.

Oh's Dr. Cristina Yang was a series regular on Grey's Anatomy since the beginning. She left the show at the end of season 10, taking a pieces of hearts (ours included) with her.

"Creatively, I really feel like I gave it my all, and I feel ready to let her go," Oh told The Hollywood Reporter when her exit was announced in 2013. "It's such an interesting thing to play a character for so long and to actually get the sense that she wants to be let go as well. [Cristina] wants to be let go, and I am ready to let her go. We have to start the process, story-wise, for the Grey's writers to think of why she's going to go."

The character left the show—and Owen Hunt (McKidd)—at the end of season 10 to go head up a hospital started by her former beau Preston Burke (Isaiah Washington).  With Cristina gone, Owen started a relationship with Amelia Shepherd (Caterina Scorsone). As for Cristina's other other half, Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo), series creator Shonda Rhimes recently revealed there's no new love in sight. Yet. Viewers will recall Derek Shepherd (Patrick Dempsey) died in season 11. How could you forget?

"I have not planned to [introduce a new love interest for her] and that's not really the focus of what we're doing with her right now," executive producer Rhimes told E! News. "Meredith is in a rebirth and she's evolving. I'm watching the character do what the character's doing and I'll see where it goes."

If you need us, we'll be staring at this photo for the rest of the day imagining "What if…"

Grey's Anatomy returns on Thursday, Sept. 24 at 8 p.m. on ABC.
