Miss Piggy Has Already Moved on After Her Split From Kermit?!

Muppets and ABC royalty collide and things get...weird

The Muppets are fitting right in with their new ABC colleagues…for the most part.

In a series of new promos for the appropriately titled show The Muppets, Miss Piggy, Kermit the Frog and the Swedish Chef get some face (and butt) time with ABC veterans Nathan Fillion, Kerry Washington and Patricia Heaton. Yes, even though they're split, Kermit and Miss Piggy are still professional enough to film promo spots together. But hang on to something because Miss Piggy seems to have already moved on (hey, Kermit is with Denise in marketing) and has her eye on the prize: Nathan Fillion's butt! Check out the promo above and try not to let it ruin your childhood.

Meanwhile, Scandal star Kerry Washington is more interested in getting a selfie with Kermit than she is hearing about him talk about his breakup with Miss Piggy. Harsh, Olivia Pope, especially after all the Jake and Fitz drama we've been put through.

And a word of advice: If you want some locally grown and organic food, well, don't ask the Swedish Chef. Sorry, Patricia Heaton.

Kermit and Miss Piggy sent shockwaves through the industry when they discussed their split at TCA.

"After careful thought, thoughtful consideration and considerable squabbling, Kermit the Frog and moi have made the difficult decision to terminate our romantic relationship. We will continue to work together on television...and in all media now known or hereafter devised, in perpetuity, throughout the universe. However, our personal lives are now distinct and separate, and we will be seeing other people, pigs, frogs, et al.," she wrote on Facebook. "This is our only comment on this private matter...unless we get the right offer. Thank you for your understanding."

Kermit shared a similar statement on social media and elaborated on the split at The Muppets TCA panel.

"It's a day-by-day, moment-by-moment process. Piggy and I have gone our separate ways romantically. It can be tough to work with your ex. There will be an official statement released in the press. I don't want to betray anything," he said.

The Muppets premieres Tuesday, Sept. 22 at 8 p.m. on ABC.
