As the new face of Make Up For Ever, Jamie Chung is well versed in all things beauty. For this week's installment of The Beauty Beat, we sat down with the actress to discuss her obsession with face oil, her signature products and more.

What is your signature lip color?
Dark Red #42 from Make Up For Ever. It's part of a palette, and I just carry it around and pull it out of my purse—it's the easiest thing. During the day, I'll just use it as a stain, and at night I'll really pump it up and use a liner as well. But the stain is kind of my thing; anything else is too much upkeep.

Do you have a signature scent?
I love Elizabeth and James Nirvana, the white one. It reminds me of the sunset during summertime when all the flowers are about to close, so it's not too potent with floral undertones but it's still very refreshing.

What are your daily hair products?
I wash my hair every day, because I work out every day (Jamie's a big fan of Prevail Boxing in LA), but if I don't wash it, I have to use dry shampoo. My favorite is Bumble and bumble's Pret-a-Powder. It's not a spray so it doesn't leave a residue—it looks like baby powder. I also love Bumble and bumble's Surf Spray. After I curl my hair, I'll spray it in and mess it up a bit.

Is there a product that you think is overrated or underrated?
What I think is underrated is oil cleansers, like my favorite from DHC. I think people are so afraid to use oils because they complain that their skin is too oily, but that's actually what keeps your skin looking young. I will even use oils from SkinCeuticals and mix them with Cetaphil Cream as a moisturizer. Essentially you want to use oils at night, because during the day you have to use SPF and it doesn't mix very well, but at night I have to use oil moisturizer.

What's your best non-product related beauty tip?
I wear a lot of waterproof aqualiners that are really thick and stay on all day. If I'm at home and don't have a makeup remover, I just use olive oil. It works like any other makeup remover—just don't get it in your eyes. And it's actually great for your skin.
