Annie Lennox's daughter Tali Lennox-Fruchtmann is grieving the loss of her boyfriend who was found dead after a tragic kayak accident.

According to police, the body of Ian Jones was recovered in the Hudson River two days after the couple were kayaking near the Staatsburgh State Historic Site.

At 9:30 a.m. local time Saturday, the couple's boat capsized forcing both parties to fall into the water. While Tali was located and picked up by a passing vessel, Ian was unable to survive.

"My heart is shattered. My best friend, my soul mate, my partner in crime & creativity, the LOVE & LIGHT of my life is no longer with me," she wrote on Instagram Monday evening. "All the love that has been sent to me is giving me the strength to get through this."

She added, "I know that he is so so happy that I was safely rescued. Let us honor & celebrate this beautiful soul & keep following the light."

Over the weekend, local reports said alcohol "may have played a role" in Ian's disappearance. In addition, weather reports indicated that strong rip currents were present in the area.

Police, however, confirmed Tuesday that there were no signs of foul play and Ian's death is considered to be an accidental drowning with no criminal charges expected.

Over the past few months, Tali and Ian have expressed their love for each other on social media. In fact, Ian recently shared a PDA photo of his girlfriend after a brief getaway.

"I am coming home to you @Talilennox!" Ian wrote as he kissed his girlfriend on the forehead. And just five days ago, the 32-year-old model and photographer shared an image of his leading lady painting inside her apartment.

Our thoughts and prayers continue to go out to all families involved.
