Watch: January Jones Weighs in on Jon Stewart's "Daily Show" Exit

Dear Jon Stewart, just so you know, January Jones doesn't approve of your recent career move.

As fans of The Daily Show prepare to say goodbye to the longtime Comedy Central host, the actress candidly explains that she thinks Stewart isn't making the right decision by leaving his post.

"I was a watcher and I've been on the show, and I think he's making a huge mistake," she tells E! News during the Oceana SeaChange Summer Party over the weekend. "We need him," she added.

(Well, we can't argue with you there.)

Meanwhile, Jon Hamm also offers his thoughts on Stewart's exit, highlighting and praising the impact the funnyman has brought to the table when it comes to discussing political issues.

"Just did his show a couple weeks back and it was really nice to see him," he tells us.

"I love that they're doing a lot of retrospectives of all his ridiculous work but it shouldn't be overlooked that he's had a pretty profound impact on political discussions and intelligence in political discussion in a time where it's seemingly devolving into screaming and who can be the loudest, sometimes. I think the most important thing that he's brought to the table—not just funny but intelligent."

Stewart is set to exit the show on August 6, and during the 2015 summer TCA press tour, his replacement Trevor Noah revealed things might change a little bit with him at the helm.

"In terms of the show physically, we're obviously changing the sets a tiny bit," Noah told the room full of reporters. "But we still want the show to be recognized as The Daily Show because that's what it still is."

The Daily Show With Trevor Noah is set to premiere Monday, September 28 on Comedy Central.
