Subway is speaking out amid the latest allegations against Jared Fogle.
Business Insider claims the FBI has subpoenaed an affidavit detailing alleged texts been the chain's former spokesperson and a former female Subway franchisee, in which Jared reportedly says he paid for sex with a 16-year-old.
"About the most recent news story on Jared Fogle, this allegation, if true, is appalling and is contrary to the values of our brand, Subway wrote on its Facebook page. "As previously stated, we have suspended our relationship with Jared."
The age of consent in Indiana, where Jared resides, is 16.
Neither Jared nor his attorney have yet responded to our requests for comment. Fogle has not been charged with any crimes and the FBI has not confirmed if there is an investigation.
The latest shocking allegations against Fogle come less than a month after news broke that the FBI raided his home following the April arrest of Russell Taylor, former executive director of the Jared Foundation, on charges related to child pornography.
A Subway spokesman also confirmed to E! News at the time that the brand and Fogel had "mutually agreed to suspend their relationship due to the current investigation. Jared continues to cooperate with authorities and he expects no actions to be forthcoming. Both Jared and Subway agree that this was the appropriate step to take."
"Jared has been cooperating, and continues to cooperate, with law enforcement in their investigation of unspecified charges and looks forward to its conclusion," Fogle's attorney Ron Elberger told E! News after the raid took place. "He has not been detained, arrested or charged with any crime or offense."
