Do you hear that? It's the sigh of relief from thousands of Directioners who just read Zayn Malik's latest tweet.

One Direction delivered a huge surprise Thursday night when they released their first hit single without Malik. Titled "Drag Me Down," the hot track quickly climbed the charts of iTunes and received airplay on dozens of radio stations.

Some music listeners, however, couldn't ignore the simple fact that the single came just days after Malik signed a solo record deal. Coincidence? It sure sounds like it.

"Proud of my boys the new single is sick," Malik tweeted Saturday afternoon. "Big love. :) x"

It's just more proof for loyal fans that the band has no ill will towards Malik who left the group in March because he wanted "to be a normal 22-year-old who is able to relax and have some private time out of the spotlight."

Just last week, Liam Payne celebrated five years of 1D and thanked Malik for all of the memories.

"Wowwwww 5 years 5 boys what an amazing journey I couldn't thank you all ever enough and thank you Louis Niall Harry and zayn for everything," Payne wrote. Malik caught wind of the tweet, and responded to his friend, "@Real_Liam_Payne thanks bro ! x"

Today, everyone remains focused on the respective music careers. As One Direction continues to make new hits, Malik is also preparing for a solo career with RCA Records.

"I guess I never explained why I left," he tweeted. "It was for this moment to be given the opportunity to show you who I really am! #RealMusic #RCA."

More music, more problems? Not in this case!
