Many have already weighed in on the recent Hulk Hogan (real name Terry Bollea) scandal, where he was apparently recorded making racist remarks several years ago, but now it's Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's turn.

The Ballers star called into the 2015 TCA Summer press tour from his private gym in Florida via satellite and explained how he reacted to the news surrounding the now-former WWE star.

"I was pretty disappointed with what I heard, like all of us, by the way. I was disappointed in him. I have known Terry for a lot of years. My dad helped trained him in Florida in the '70s when he was breaking into the business. I come from a very long lineage of professional wrestlers," he explained.

"I had not known the man to be racist. It's funny, it's one of those things where, and not justifying what he said, but we've all talked trash, especially in private. He said what he said and he's paying the price."

Just last week, the WWE announced that they were terminating their contract with the former professional wrestler, just before Hogan issued a public apology.

"Eight years ago I used offensive language during a conversation," he explained. "It was unacceptable for me to have used that offensive language; there is no excuse for it; and I apologize for having done it."

He continued, "This not who I am. I believe very strongly that every person in the world is important and should not be treated differently based on race, gender, orientation, religious beliefs or otherwise. I am disappointed with myself that I used language that is offensive and inconsistent with my own beliefs."
