It sounds like Robin Thicke's girlfriend April Geary Love is fitting in quite nicely with the "Blurred Lines" singer's family.
"She's lovely," Robin's dad Alan Thicke told me at the Vacation premiere in L.A. "It's a great time for him. [He has an] album coming out and April is there and supportive."
Robin, 38, may be 18 years older than the leggy 20-year-old model, but that certainly doesn't seem to matter much. "The apple doesn't fall far from the tree," said Alan's wife Tanya.
It sure doesn't. Alan is 28 years older than Tanya, 40—and they've been married for 10 years!
"I wouldn't expect anything less," Tanya said, adding, "I think it's also very important that she's also very mature. I think that says a lot. She's a very mature young lady. A very beautiful, smart, mature young lady."
Alan chimed in, "We like her a lot."
Robin and April reportedly started dating about six months. They made their first public appearance as a couple in May at the de Grisogono bash at the Hôtel du Cap during the Cannes Film Festival.
They were spotted earlier this week enjoying a beach vacation in Maui with Robin's son, Julian, 5.
Robin and Paula Patton divorced in March after 10 years of marriage.
Rashida Jones recently revealed that when she was 12 she asked a then 13-year-old Robin to her junior prom, but rescinded the invitation so she could go to the dance with future hitmaker Al B. Sure. Sadly, she ended up without a date and instead worked the door at the prom.
