E! News can confirm that Britney Spears is in talks to extend her residency at Planet Hollywood but no final decisions have been made.
In other words, Ms. Spears could be packing up her hit show Britney: Piece of Me and leaving town.
If Spears doesn't sign a new deal, the last of her 142 shows at The Axis at Planet Hollywood will take place from August through October with the final performances happening over New Year's Weekend.
Sources tell me Spears hasn't indicated yet what she wants to do. There's some buzz of launching a concert tour. As we've previously reported, she's been in the studio recently working on new music.
Spears is currently vacationing in Hawaii with hers sons after presenting at the ESPY Awards.
We'll see her again on the red carpet next month at the Teen Choice Awards.
Britney: Piece of Me has been a hit with celebs. Brit's star-studded guest list has included Lady Gaga, Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, Jennifer Lopez (who probably has the success of Brit's show to thank for helping launch her own residency at The Axis in January), Nicole Richie, Fergie, Sofia Vergara, Chloe Grace Moretz, Calvin Harris and Jesse Tyler Ferguson.
