Matt Tilley seems to have misunderstood the comedienne's role

It seems like it would be impossible to offend Amy Schumer, but if you call her Trainwreck character "skanky," it will absolutely set her off.

That's what Australia's KIIS 101.1's Matt Tilley did, and he is probably really regretting that decision since Schumer absolutely shut him down upon hearing his judgment of her role. Prior to his name-calling, the interview was actually going pretty well, but he took a wrong turn and it only got more awkward from there.

"Do you have the word skanky in America?" Tilley asked, which caused an unimpressed-looking Schumer to joke that he was thinking about his mother.

"Come on, that's the character in the movie. I'm not trying to offend you," he said.

But the Inside Amy Schumer star wasn't having it. "Whatever you are trying to do, you are [doing]. That's a rude question."

Later on in the interview Tilley suggests that the movie's plot ultimately focuses on finding a boyfriend over everything else, and once again Schumer found herself offended by the interviewer's judgment.

"I think you're wrong," she said. "I think the point is that she realizes she's hurting herself and the people around her."

Tilley's co-interviewer, Jane Hill, tried to mediate the rest of the conversation, complimenting the comedienne on her acting and writing, but Schumer couldn't hide her disdain for Tilley.

Trying to move forward with their interview, Tilley asked her what she plans on doing next with her career. "Would you rather do that [acting] and have stand-up as fun?" he asked.

"I want to do whatever I have to do to get another interview with you again," she quipped sarcastically.

Sensing the tension, Hill remarked, "I might come by myself next time."

Thankfully, most people and celebs are agreeing with Hill's take on the film—that it's amazing! Even Oscar-winning Anne Hathaway, who is the butt of a joke in the movie, is singing Schumer's praises.

"Dear @AmySchumer, Don't pretend like when you win your Oscar- which you could for your brilliant and refreshing writing and/or acting in @TrainwreckMovie- you won't tote it around to every Oscar party you go to," she captioned a pic of her ticket stub on Instagram, referring to the moment when Schumer pokes fun at her boyfriend (Bill Hader) for parading around his charity award like Anne Hathaway on Oscar night.

Looks like everyone's sense of humor is on point!
