The late crocodile hunter Steve Irwin's daughter is celebrating her 17th birthday (which is actually on Friday, but since she's in Australia, it's already her special day #timezones), and it seems like just yesterday that we were seeing the tiny tot accompany her dad on wildlife adventures.
Bindi has done a good job at maintaining her father's legacy after his untimely passing, and vows to continue doing her best when it comes to making a positive change in the world.
The famous teen posted a photo on Instagram showing her hugging a giant tortoise while getting photobombed by a lemur (so good!), and wrote a heartwarming message to accompany the sweet snapshot.
"So here we are. My 17th year in this life. I have to tell you that over the past year I've learned so much. So many people have touched my heart and made an impact on my world. I'm thankful for every lesson and learning experience. This next year will be filled with so much adventure, I'm excited for the journey to come," she wrote.
"I am so happy with where I am and where I'm headed. I have the most beautiful souls in my life supporting me and helping me to follow my dreams. I love them more than I can ever express in words. To my family, friends, and the people who will forever have a place in my heart, thank you for everything. For changing my life and making me the person I am today. You mean so much to me I will continue to do my best to make a difference in this world and create positive change for the next generations. So let's take on this next year together! I'm excited to see what is to come xx."
There's no telling how Bindi is going to spend her special day, but it's possible it'll include one very special person. The young celeb recently revealed that she's dating someone!
"There is someone special in my life right now, and I'm really happy with that," Bindi told Entertainment Tonight. "Life is wonderful at the moment." She didn't reveal her boyfriend's name, but she has been seen hanging out with professional wakeboarder Chandler Powell.
