Barry Allen's (Grant Gustin) getting a serious upgrade for The Flash's second season.

The Scarlet Speedster got a glimpse of his future self in the season one finale last spring, and it looks like that close encounter inspired him and Cisco (Carlos Valdes) to make a few changes to his red superhero suit going forward.

E! News has learned that The Flash is debuting a brand-new suit for Barry this season, and it's actually a lot closer to the one that comic book fans have known and loved for over 50 years!

Say hello to the already-iconic red and white lightning bolt emblem! Seeing that white logo on Barry's chest is giving us all kinds of feelings...and chills. We can't tell if the suit itself is more of a vibrant red now—like the suit Barry Allen rocks in the comics—but this is definitely a step closer to the comic book version, and we are already freaking out about it. Maybe meeting Jay Garrick (Masters of Sex's Teddy Sears), aka the original Flash, will have something to do with the new look?

This new Flash suit comes hot on the heels of Arrow upgrading Oliver Queen's (Stephen Amell) suit going into season four. Both new superhero suits signal that big things are heading our way...and we're equal parts nervous and excited about it.

But where does Barry's new suit rank among all the other superhero suits on TV? Click through our gallery below to find out!
