There is no bright side to Jon Stewart leaving The Daily Show next month on Aug. 6—but winter may not be here just yet!

Trevor Noah, the incoming host of the flagship of all that is necessary in the world of political commentary, sat down with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show Friday to talk about his upcoming gig and, not surprisingly, talk turned to the 2016 presidential election.

Which, it's hard to believe, doesn't take place for 15 months. Leading up to that, we'll have...

"This is insane, I've never seen anything like it," marveled Noah, a comedian and TV-radio host in his native South Africa who joined The Daily Show just last year as a correspondent. "Sometimes it looks like a fighting [video] game, like here's all the characters you can choose. It's just like …'Who do you select?!'"

In a booming voice he added, "Bernie Sanders vs. Donald Trump!"

Fallon compared it to Street Fighter, but Noah is seeing an even more intense competition in the works.

"It is insane, it's the most ridiculous thing," Noah reiterated. "I'm excited for it. I feel like it's like Game of Thrones now, we need a map to show you who goes where and how there's the House of Bush...'Cause I've never seen anything like this. This is the craziest thing—'cause we just got democracy, so this is like I've gone into the future.

"I want to go home and tell people, ‘You don't know what's coming! It gets crazy, it gets crazy!"

Here's hoping with just a bit less bloodshed and incest. But either way, Noah will have his work cut out for him from day one. May the gods be with you, sir!
