If this isn't a no-brainer, we don't know what is.

A couple of filmmakers just launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund a documentary on none other than Bill Nye. That's right, The Science Guy could be coming to a theater near you—if we all collectively band together to make it happen.

David Alvarado and Jason Sussberg are partnering with Producer Seth Gordon (he of Freakonomics and The Goldbergs fame) to "make the definitive film on Bill Nye the Science Guy and his quest to change the world with science." More specifically, the flick will follow Nye around the world as he champions space exploration and fights against climate change naysayers. Sign us up!

Of course, the most important part of this planned documentary is that Bill Nye himself is on board. The filmmakers write in the Kickstarter campaign that the scientist "opened up his life" to them, and will allow the documentary access to the speeches he gives on space policy, launches a satellite and even hangs out with Neil deGrasse Tyson. Of course the one thing they need to make all this happen is money—money to cover hotels and flights while traveling with Bill, licensing fees to include his past work, and of course all the post-production and editing.

The filmmakers have set a goal of raising $650,000 to make the movie. So how do we make this happen? Donate, of course. And giving away your hard-earned cash won't come without a few benefits: In exchange for funding fans will get everything from a shoutout on Twitter to a thank you in the credits to tickets to a private screening of the final product. Plus, you'll get the bragging rights that come with making a Bill Nye movie come to life. Excuse us while we give away our paychecks.
