Get ready for a major case of deja vu: Rosie Perez is leaving The View...again!

That's right, after ABC shot down rumors about the host's exit back in January, Perez is indeed leaving the talk show for good in August.

Deadline reports that Perez's last day on the ABC daytime talk show will be this season's finale on August 6.

"Rosie wants to thank ABC for their graciousness and their flexibility with her schedule during the Broadway run," a rep for Perez says.

"Our friend Rosie Perez has decided to leave the show at the conclusion of this season to pursue full time her love for acting," The View executive producer Bill Wolff said in a statement. "Stepping into the role of talk show host at the same time she has been starring on Broadway has been incredibly impressive. And beyond being an enormously talented performer, Rosie is a dedicated advocate who has brought passion and insight to the panel every day."

"Rosie will always be a part of The View family, and we will welcome her back as a guest anytime to catch up," Wolff continued. "We'll plan a proper send off for her in a few weeks, but in the meantime, please join me in thanking her for her great work on the show."

Back in January, Perez took the month off of The View to rehearse for Larry David's Broadway play Fish in the Dark, and many believed that she would not return to the show. She did return the next month, but only temporarily, as it turns out.

Perez first joined the show in September to fill one of the chairs vacated by Sherri Shepherd and Jenny McCarthy. But who do you want to see fill Perez's soon-to-be empty seat? Let us know in the comments section below!
