Last week, Melissa McCarthy was spotted on set in Boston looking more than ready to take on the supernatural in a revamped version of the khaki and orange ensemble originally made famous in the 1984 flick. Now Kristen Wiig makes a new debut, this time in a red-hot wig and matching baseball tee!
The comediennes star alongside Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon for the upcoming female-centric reboot by Spy and Bridesmaids director Paul Fieg, and it seems like the whole gang is having a blast while filming.
In another action shot, McKinnon looks ready to rumble while sporting a hilarious pair of googles, slime-spattered cargo pants, a motorcycle jacket and edgy combat boots.
And just today E! News confirmed that, in addition to Saturday Night Live actress Cecily Strong, the lady Ghostbusters will be joined by a few male counterparts.
Ocean's Eleven star Andy Garcia will play the mayor of New York City and Veep's Matt Walsh, Boardwalk Empire's Michael K. Williams as well as long time NY1 anchor Pat Kiernan, appearing as himself, have also snagged roles. Looks like Chris Hemsworth, who is set to play the hunkiest receptionist of all time, now has some testosterone on set!
The Ghostbusters remake has been given a July 22, 2016, release date.
