It's hard to imagine a world without Facebook and even harder to imagine that Myspace was the place to be although peeps who grew up on Friendster are probably saying the same thing about FB. Oh how the times have changed.
Unlike Facebook with its white minimalist background and standardized fonts, Myspace let you be an individual. It let you show the world who you really were—you chose the background, the font, the font colors and most importantly you chose the song!
This song took time to choose. You had to think about what the song meant to you, what people would think about you for choosing the song, would it be annoying to listen to over and over again for people who stayed on your page for longer than 3 minutes and 30 seconds. The song was important.
