The bikini-clad actress was photographed getting affectionate with Anthony Kalabretta in Maui Tuesday. Until their Hawaiian getaway, the two had been keeping their romance fairly quiet. While it's unknown how long they have been seeing each other, Kalabretta already seems smitten. "Perfect weekend for the perfect Lucy," he wrote on Instagram June 14. "Happy birthday @lucyhale."
The ABC Family actress has posted several pictures from her vacation with BFF Annie Breiter, though only one Instagram photo shows Kalabretta. The paparazzi caught the new couple packing on the PDA, of course, with Hale wrapping her arms around Kalabretta's neck as he playfully patted the star's butt in the ocean. Hale, who was first seen in public with her new beau during the L.A. Dodgers game against the Arizona Diamondbacks June 1, wore Zimmermann's $188 "Pivot Flip Bandeau Bikini" for Tuesday's beach outing.
How did Hale and Kalabretta's romance begin? "They met through mutual friends and bonded over a lot of things—just having fun and their shared love of music," a source tells Us Weekly. "She has a thing for musicians."
Indeed. Prior to Kalabretta, Hale was linked to Lawson drummer Adam Pitt.
Hale is a musician herself, having released a country album, Road Between, in 2014.
While the Pretty Little Liars star has so far only posted a few photos of Kalabretta on Instagram, perhaps the two will make their red carpet debut at the Teen Choice Awards on Aug. 16. Hale, 26, is nominated in the Choice Drama TV Actress category, as are Empire's Taraji P. Henson, The Fosters' Maia Mitchell, Pretty Little Liars' Shay Mitchell, Nashville's Hayden Panettiere and Scandal's Kerry Washington.
Hale recently finished filming season 6A of Pretty Little Liars, and the ABC Family hit has already been renewed for a seventh season. As the actress assured E! News this year, "I'll ride out Pretty Little Liars until it's dead because that has been such a launching pad for me and genuinely love and like the people I work with and I love the characters. Mainly, I'm just curious to see what happens!" Hale expects to stay through the series finale, "unless they just want to kill me off," she joked.
