Hell hath no fury like the Twitterverse.

Demi Lovato dropped what will no doubt be one of this summer's biggest hits, but some people on Twitter are claiming the brunette beauty may have ripped off two other popular pop stars.

"Cool for the Summer" is one of those bubblegum tunes that reminds us of a certain Katy Perry hit, especially since the lyrics in question appear to be about kissing a girl—but it doesn't end there. Some tweeters are also claiming that the chorus of "Summer" sounds just like Jessie J's "Domino."

But Demi being Demi, the outspoken, take-no-guff gal that she is didn't waste any time and fired back at her social media critics, in response to a story about her alleged pilfering online.

In a series of tweets Lovato stood up for herself and her sexy summer anthem:

‏"@etnow sounds nothing like it and with all the advances we've made in the LGBT community..." she wrote, adding, "@etnow  I think more than one female artist can kiss a girl and like it....."

And the Lovatics could not be silenced and were there to defend their faithful leader, obviously!
