Karl Larsen/Coleman-RaynerLamar Odom has had a rough few weeks, but he seems to be keeping his head up.
The former NBA star was spotted stepping out with former world welterweight boxing champ Zab Judah and another male friend for a morning stroll in Las Vegas today. His appearance comes roughly a week after the death of Bobby Heyward, a producer and writer who happened to be a good friend of Lamar's.
Heyward, 30, allegedly passed away because of a drug overdose, and his death marked the second person in Lamar's life to pass away in this month alone.
Just two weeks ago, Odom's longtime friend Jamie Sangouthai, 37, died from a bacterial skin infection in his arm known as necrotizing fasciitis as a result of chronic IV drug abuse. Sangouthai died in an L.A. hospital where he had gone to receive treatment on his arm.
The athlete has yet to publicly address the two deaths on social media or release a statement regarding the tragedies.
However, Lamar was seen in seemingly good spirits, given the situation, earlier this month. Odom was supporting pal Adrian Broner as the boxer weighed in for his big fight against Shawn Porter in mid-June, which marked his first public outing since Sangouthai's death.
Various pictures of the athlete posted on social media show Odom smiling and interacting with fans while strolling through the MGM Hotel and Casino.
Meanwhile, following the two deaths, E! News has learned that ex-wife Khloé Kardashian has been checking in with Odom, from whom she filed for divorce in November 2013.
A source tells E! News that Khloé has been in touch with the 35-year-old athlete for quite some time, although she is not in near constant contact as some outlets have reported.
The insider adds that Khloé loves Lamar and always hopes he's doing well (she echoed similar sentiments during a previous chat with E! News), but reveals she has not been to Vegas, where Odom is currently living, to visit him.
