If you thought Empire season one was crazy, well, buckle up because season two may blow you away.

"Season one—it's that time 20 million," Jussie Smollett told E! News on the red carpet at the BET Awards," I keep joking that we make season one look like The Brady Bunch because it's a lot. It's going there, for sure."

Season two is now in production in Chicago with guest stars Chris Rock, Alicia Keys, Magic Mike XXL star Adam Rodriguez and Lenny Kravtiz along for the ride. Rock's character will be locked up with Terrence Howard's Lucious Lyon and Rodriguez is playing a new romantic interest for Taraji P. Henson's Cookie Lyon.

Henson, who is getting serious Emmy buzz for her work on the Fox show recently had a bit of a health scare. She was hospitalized for exhaustion, but she's back at work slinging those one-liners on the Empire set.

"Mama needed some rest," Smollett said about her on-screen mother. "She had to tap out for a moment, she needed a break." Click play on the video above for more!

Co-creator Lee Daniels took to Twitter to share video of Henson's first day back as Cookie. It is appropriately Cookie. Daniels asked her how she felt on her first day back and she quickly responded, "I feel like s—t! I'm sleepy—" and then he cut her off.

Never change.

Empire returns to Fox on Wednesday, Sept. 23.
