If you turn on the television and politician running for office says this sentence right to the camera: "I'm gonna use my glock to blow your balls off," while holding said gun, you're either in an episode of Parks and Recreation that's mocking campaign videos or you are witnessing one of the strangest local campaign ads of all time.
Fortunately, these are all very, disturbingly real and Daily Motion put together a video of the best of the worst. Again, these are all actual campaign ads that politicians purposely made/thought were great ideas and allowed them to be seen by other people.
This video has them all: a U.S. Senator talking about castrating pigs in her very first second of screen time, a dude running for school board while casually holding a lightsaber, a guy claiming he won't "go to strip clubs anymore" and don't forget ol' "blow your balls off."
Watch all these gems in the video above, but sorry about your eyeballs. Because you'll never be able to unsee any of these.
