Glenn Boozan from Above Average has pointed out a pretty astonishing fact about Disney princesses with a post called "11 Disney Princesses Whose Eyes Are Literally Bigger Than Their Stomachs." We always knew that the proportions given to these animated ladies were unrealistic at best, logically and physically impossible at worst. But when you see these photos and you realize that the eyes on The Little Mermaid's Ariel, Aladdin's Princess Jasmine, and Frozen's Queen Elsa and many other Disney princesses are literally bigger than their waistlines, it kind of makes you cringe a bit.
"Hungry, gals? You must be, because these animated Disney kweens' eyes are literally bigger than their stomachs," Glenn writes in the post. "I can't wait to buy my daughter a waist trainer for her Jasmine Halloween costume!!"
Disney's leading ladies must do waist training straight out of the womb to get a figure like this. We need thicker animated characters! And yeah, it's more like he's measuring their heads and not so much the size of their eyes, but still. We never really thought about how damn skinny Disney made these princesses until seeing these photos. And these are characters with eyes that are already unusually large for the most part!
We hope this doesn't make little kids look up to their parents after watching a Disney movie and say:
"Mommy? Daddy? I hope one day I can be just like Belle from Beauty and the Beast!"
"Oh, you mean strong, feisty, different and well-read?"
"No, I mean I hope my tummy will one day be tinier than my eyes!"
That would make mommy and daddy sad, right?
