Denise Richards isn't letting the haters (or, well, one hater in particular) bring her down.
The actress continued to take the high road on social media after her ex Charlie Sheen slammed her in a nasty Father's Day Twitter rant.
Just one day after he launched his shocking war of words against the mother of two of his daughters, Richards retweeted a pal's supportive quote.
Leeza Gibbons wrote, "Negative people have a problem for every solution. Ignore them if you can," along with, "The less you respond to negative people, the more peaceful your life will become."
Richards then replied, "Yup ain't that the truth." So, what exactly is the backstory on the notoriously rocky exes?

It all started yesterday afternoon when Sheen reportedly began tweeting, "Brooke M is a sexy rok star whom I adore D Richards a heretic washed up piglet Shame pile Happy Father's Day!!!" Yeah, that'll ruffle some feathers.
Sheen's tweets didn't end there, unfortunately, and he even wrote a long "open letter to the media" where he bashed Richards and called her the "worst mom alive" and an "evil terrorist."
All of his scandalous tweets have since been deleted but his "open letter" can still be found online.
Richards didn't stoop to Sheen's level though. Instead, she posted the followed, positive message to her ex:
"Happy Dad's Day! @CharlieSheen have a great trip in Mexico. Kids were disappointed u weren't here for it—Hey we'll celebrate when u r back!"
Now that's one classy response if you ask us!
