Lamar Odom seems to be doing OK.

The former Los Angeles Laker player has been dealing with the devastating loss of his longtime friend Jamie Sangouthai, who passed away less than a week ago. But Odom has resurfaced since the tragic news and seemed to be in good spirits while in Las Vegas today.

Lamar jetted to Sin City to support Adrian Broner as the boxer weighed in for his big fight against Shawn Porter tomorrow night. Various pictures of the athlete posted on social media show Odom smiling and interacting with fans while strolling through the MGM Hotel and Casino.

The Los Angeles County Coroner confirmed to E! News yesterday that  Sangouthai did not pass away as a result of a drug overdose, despite recent speculation. Sangouthai did, however, die from a bacterial skin infection known as necrotizing fasciitis as a result of chronic IV drug abuse.

"Due to the extent of the infection, the hospital performed surgery to deal with the infection, but the condition quickly overwhelmed what they were able to do for him," the coroner told us.

Sangouthai was best buds with Odom since high school. They worked on business deals together and shared a passion for basketball. In fact, Sangouthai served as one of Odom's best men during his televised wedding to Khloé Kardashian.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to all those affected during this time.
