Personally, we still don't really understand Snapchat. We're old-school. Or just old. Probably both.

We do, however, understand how people use social media to send subtle (and extremely not subtle messages) to everyone else. Like, when you post a selfie on Instagram and you're making a sad face and your caption is: "not feeling pretty today," then we know you're actually saying: "Someone tell me how pretty I am."

Irish model Holly Carpenter is also on to your game; specifically, your Snapchat game.

"Girls can be very calculated and mischievous with their snaps though, so you must learn how to read between the lines," the 23-year-old former Miss Ireland writes on her blog post titled "What she's really saying on Snapchat." Carpenter posted a series of Snapchats that show what women are really trying to do when they use the app, and we have to say, she seems incredibly accurate. Even though we're not big into Snapchat, we know everyone out there is guilty of at least one of these social media games.

"When you're having flirty banter with someone on Snapchat here are some classic moves and their translations to keep an eye out for," she says, adding that she's "never used these" moves herself, she's "merely guessing."

The Dublin model is on to you, Snapchatters. Of course, that doesn't mean you should stop trying to subtly tell your man crush that you are single and that you can cook and that you are beautiful without makeup. Work that social media game, girl!
