After almost a decade off the radar, Janet Jackson just teased new music off of her forthcoming, highly anticipated album.

Fans got a glimpse of the track, which appears to be named "Conversations in a Café" after the legendary singer posted a clip on Twitter earlier today.

Handwritten lyrics accompany the 43-second snippet of the ballad along with Jackson's signature.

The singer croons: "I lived through my mistakes/It's just a part of growing and never for a single moment did I ever go without your love/You made me feel wanted/I wanna tell you how important you are to me."

Earlier this year, Jackson announced that she's gearing up for one busy year ahead with new music and a world tour.

"I promised you'd hear it from my lips, and now you will. This year: new music, new world tour, a new movement. I've been listening. Let's keep the conversation going."

Jackson is slated to release her first album in seven years this fall through Rhythm Nation Records/BMG.

In a statement on June 3, the singer added, "Thank you to the talented team at BMG, my new artistic home. The opportunity to be creative in music and every form of entertainment has great potential here."

And while tickets for the North American leg of her tour have yet to go on sale to the public, pre-sale tickets have already been scooped up left and right.

It sounds like the world is ready for all things Janet, ahem, we mean Ms. Jackson!
