We're going to get some things out of the way first. We think it's awesome to raise awareness about a disease and it's especially awesome to educate children about eating healthy. Plus, a percentage of the profits from this song will apparently go towards diabetes research. These are all good things, and we applaud this Teen Mom star for them.

Now that we've covered that, can we talk about Mackenzie McKee rapping? The song is called "The Sweetest Treat" and it's neither sweet nor a treat, in our personal opinion.

We understand why she chose to do a song for kids about diabetes and eating right, but why did it have to be a rap song? She could have done a pop song or maybe an upbeat country tune. Just one look at her should have been enough for the people behind this video to say, "OK, maybe rapping isn't her biggest strength." But they apparently had some faith in her ability to rhyme and spit mad beats.

They really shouldn't have, though, because the awkward rapping done by Mackenzie, who has Type 1 Diabetes, is really distracting; so distracting that we don't even know what the song is about because we're too focused on what's happening here:

And the lip-sync struggle is real throughout the video. The line here is supposed to be: "step three, have your mom and dad check your glucose" and this is what they got from her:

So close.

But you do you, Mackenzie. Also, we came up with some rap names for you. You're welcome!

•Big Mac
•The Mac Attack
•OG McKee
•'Kenzie
•Kee Kee Free

Kids, when you are confused about what to eat, just remember these profound lyrics from OG McKee: "The sweetest treat is the sweetest treat."

What?
