Kristen Stewart popped up at last night's Crystal + Lucy Awards in Los Angeles.

And it was quite a Twilightful surprise!

She appeared at the Women In Film gala alongside Twilight author Stephenie Meyer to showcase The Storytellers: New Voices of The Twilight Saga, a competition for young female filmmakers who developed and produced short films about the origin stories of Twilight characters. (The winning films will premiere on Facebook next month.)

Stewart introduced a video featuring a sneak peek at the finalists' films before bringing her "ol' pal" Meyer to the stage.

"One of the most exciting parts of my personal experience has been getting to see all the creativity and talent of these women I've been introduced to and got to know," Meyer said. "Because I have been so fortunate, I do feel a real responsibility to help other women find outlets for their voices. The Storytellers project has been an amazing opportunity, so rewarding and I'm so grateful to Lionsgate and Women In Film and all of our sponsors for helping to make this happen. What a gift to be able to work with up-and-coming writers and directors and to get them a platform where they can showcase their talents."

Stewart's appearance was kept hush-hush. Her name never appeared on a press release about the event nor did she walk the red Tiffany blue carpet before the gala started.
