Halloween is getting another remake!

In 1978 we were first introduced to the man who would stalk our nightmares and wake us up in sweaty terror: Michael Myers.

John Carpenter directed the first Halloween movie, debuting both the masked killer and a young Jamie Lee Curtis. Several famous directors have helmed the series since, including rock star Rob Zombie, who directed the previous two installments.

Zombie will not return to direct the franchise's upcoming 11th installment Halloween Returns, but don't fret, because the new maestro, Marcus Dunstan is no stranger to crafting very scary movieshe wrote Saw IV, V, and VI

Production on the upcoming Halloween Returns is set to begin in July, according to Variety.

Bob Weinstein, co-chair of the Weinstein Company and Dimension Films, commented, "Michael Myers has taken a long break from the bigscreen, and we know fans are eager to see him return...We are excited to be back in business with Trancas and look forward to bringing one of the scariest installments of this classic franchise to audiences worldwide."
