Kesha made Radar Online the butt of its own joke Monday.
The tabloid website published a speculative photo gallery titled "Did Kesha Get Butt Implants — See Before & After Photos!" The first slide's caption said Kesha "performed to adoring fans at the Los Angeles Pride Concert on Sunday, June 16, but distracted many with her noticeably larger backside. Did she get butt implants?" The website went on to describe her appearance as "plumper in the rump" and said her "booty seemed to be a little more poppin'" than it once did. Radar Online also argued that Kesha's derriere looked "suspiciously smaller" than it did when she was photographed wearing a bikini in Australia last month.
Luckily, Kesha was able to find the humor in the situation. "OMG FAVORITE HEADLINE EVER!" the "We R Who We R" singer wrote in an Instagram caption. "Haaaaaaaaaa yes I implanted rainbows in my ass."
Today, Kesha feels more confident in her own skin than ever before.
The 28-year-old "Tik Tok" singer, who sought treatment for an eating disorder in January 2014, recently shared her story with Vogue. "I've had a lot of ups and downs...I went to a dark place. There was a lot of not eating—and I started to think being hungry to the point of feeling almost faint was a positive thing. The worse it got, the more positive feedback I was getting. Inside I was really unhappy, but outside, people were like, 'Wow you look great.'"
After completing her treatment program and working with a nutritionist, Kesha said, "I realized being healthy is the most important think I can do for myself. Now I'm trying to embrace the skin I'm in. It's difficult sometimes. Every day I have to look in the mirror and make the choice to be kind to myself."
"This is who I am," she added. "I have to love that."
