As the star of the hit show Chrisley Knows Best, Todd Chrisley has some advice when it comes to Father's Day.
"I always get the same gift from my kids every year, which is a handwritten letter," the 46-year-old father of five told E! News during a sit-down chat last week.
"I'm very hard to purchase for—I know it's shocking to the world, but I buy what I want," he continued.
As a result, Chrisley encouraged his children to write a sentimental note instead of buying him gifts—a tradition the family has upheld for years.
"I would always say to my kids, ‘Don't buy me a gift, what you can give me is worth more than what I could go out there and purchase. Write me a letter, tell me what I'm doing right and tell me what I'm doing wrong.' It was a tradition that we started when they were young and they still do it," he said before jokingly adding, "Now, I personally think they're doing it because they're cheap."
The third season of Chrisley's reality show is currently underway (press play for a sneak peek of this week's episode!), and as fans of the USA series know, the proud papa isn't afraid to pat himself on the back.
Asked to pick a TV dad—real or animated—whom he truly admires, the reality star replied with zero hesitation: "Todd Chrisley."
"Because I'm present," he explained as to why he's a model parent. "I show up every day for the good, the bad and the ugly. I just feel like right now on television we don't have a lot of that. And I think that's where a lot of our fan base comes from because they're looking for that."
