Considering her consistently flawless tresses, it's a no-brainer that Selena Gomez is the latest face of Pantene. After teasing fans with an Instagram video last night, the 22-year-old singer revealed this morning on Instagram that she'd be stepping up as the brand's spokesmodel, writing: "I am so happy to announce my new partnership with Pantene! #SelenaxPantene#strongisbeautiful @pantenehair."
"I've always loved using Pantene, so it's a dream come true to be the brand's newest ambassador. Not only because Pantene stands for strong, healthy hair but also because it encourages women to be their best selves," Gomez said via press release.
"My style is constantly evolving and I love to take risks, so I'm always changing my hair style. I rely on Pantene to keep my hair strong and healthy so I can take on each day with confidence."
In the hot new hair ads, Ms. Gomez flaunts her tousled ‘do while posing in a white-hot dress. She's scored a number of fashion campaigns in the past, including Adidas, but this is the star's first-ever beauty ad.
After seeing the sneak peek teaser video of what we now know was her Pantene photoshoot, we must admit we're little surprised—at first glance, it looked like the "Heart Wants what it Wants" singer might've been working on a new music video.
While it's not quite what fans might've expected, we can't say anyone's disappointed either. Selena's new ads are stunning, and we daresay model pal Cara Delevingne is one proud friend right now.
