It's (finally) official: Jeb Bush declared his bid for presidency on Monday!

Florida's former governor will seek the Republican nomination, and he's in good company: At least 10 other conservative hopefuls—including Mike Huckabee, Rand Paul, Rick Santorum, Carly Fiorina and Marco Rubio--already make up the GOP field.

The 62-year-old politician, whose father George H.W. Bush and brother George W. Bush have both served as president of the United States, appears to be downplaying his famous last name. On Sunday, before officially announcing his presidential bid, Jeb posted what appears to be his campaign logo to Twitter:

As you can see, "Jeb! 2016" noticeably leaves off his recognizable surname. That's not to say, though, that he isn't proud of his family's political legacy.

In an interview that aired Sunday on CNN's State of the Union, Jeb described his 91-year-old father as "just the greatest man alive," adding, "I'll be thinking of him when I'm announcing my decision [about the 2016 presidential bid]."

He's not concerned, either, about waiting until now to confirm his plans to seek office. "And as a candidate, contrary to someone who has been listening and learning along the way, I'll offer up alternatives to the path we're on as well, so I'll be more specific on policy," he said.

"People make up their minds in the last weeks of these primaries," Jeb added."My expectation is we'll have slow, steady progress. That's been the expectation all along."'

In a YouTube video released prior to the official announce of his campaign, Jeb pointed to his experience as governor from 1999 to 2007. "I'm proud of what we accomplished in Florida," he said. "Proud we were able to make a difference, to change lives...We grew our economy, and led the nation in job growth."

"We led, we reformed, we got results," he continued. "That's what missing from Washington. The D.C crowd talks about what's wrong with America, I see what's right. I see a great country on the verge of its greatest century, and I'm ready to lead."

Celebrities seem to be mixed about Jeb's announcement. Andy Cohen tweeted, "Was really looking forward to @JebBush being the progressive Bush, but his views on gay marriage are killing me," while Desus Nice took a jab at his logo.

"Jeb Bush either running for president or doing an 80's style improv special," he wrote of Jeb's logo.

George Takei also took the humerous route when it came time to comment on Jeb's announcement, writing, "Many of Jeb Bush's confidants are claiming his downfall can be traced to a single word: Dallas. Coincidentally that was TNT's downfall too."
