John Stamos Breaks Silence After DUI Arrest and Hospitalization, Is Back Home—Find Out What He Said

The Full House and Fuller House star was detained in Beverly Hills on Friday

John Stamos took to Twitter on Saturday, less than a day after being arrested on suspicion of DUI, to thank his supporters and express his appreciation for the police and medical workers who treated him at a hospital after the incident.

Police pulled over the 51-year-old Full House star in Beverly Hills on Friday evening after receiving several calls about a possible drunk driver. They then transported Stamos, who was driving alone, to the nearby Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for observation "due to a possible medical condition." There, he was arrested and issued a citation for DUI and was released to the care of the hospital.

"Thanks to everyone for their love & support," Stamos tweeted. "I'm home & well. Very appreciative of the BHPD & Cedars for their care."

Stamos is scheduled to answer to the DUI charge at a hearing in Los Angeles on Sept. 11.

His arrest comes a month and a half after Stamos announced a Full House reunion series, Fuller House, which will debut on Netflix in 2016. He will revive his role as Uncle Jesse on the new show and also serves as a producer. Other returning cast members include Candace Cameron BureJodie Sweetin, Andrea Barber, Bob SagetDave Coulierand Lori Loughlin.
