Sprite's Adding Rap Lyrics to Soda Cans, and We've Got Some More Ideas

We've got a lot of ideas for soda.

Sprite's coming for you, Coca-Cola! 

The soda company, not wanting to be overshadowed by Diet Coke and their super fun "Share a coke with John/Jack/Your bros" cans, decided to do their own little makeover. Today they introduced Obey Your Verse (get it? It's a play on Obey Your Thirst. Clever!). In short, they'll be rolling out 16 limited-edition cans that pay tribute to some of the most iconic rap lyrics—or at least what Sprite considers the most iconic rap lyrics.

The four rappers honored with their own set of cans are Drake, Nas, Rakim and Notorious B.I.G. You can see all of the cans here, but expect heavy hitters like "Started from the bottom now we here" and "Lyrically I'm supposed to represent." 

It's a fun concept for sure, but couldn't it be a little bit more fun? There's a real plethora of classic rap lyrics, after all, and Sprite seems to have barely grazed the surface. And they're playing it a little safe for our taste. There's not even a four-letter-word to be found! Think how many people would buy Sprite if, say, "S--t" were emblazoned right on your can. Cha-ching!

So we decided to help the company out and come up with some of our own ideas for can lyrics. It's not an exhaustive list to be sure (hello, we have other stuff to do), but we're 99% positive that these would be instant best sellers. It doesn't get much deeper than this list of lyrics.
