Gone are the times of five showers daily, immaculate grooming and permanently photo shoot-ready workspaces for Tom Ford.

The celebrated designer—who now boasts film director and screen writer as a few of his other titles—claims he's toned down his once-legendary compulsive need for perfection. Since welcoming son Jack with husband Richard Buckley nearly two and a half years ago, the former Gucci creative director has adopted a more go-with-the-flow attitude about his personal grooming—and has cut down his religious five bathing sessions a day to a healthy two, the London Evening Standard reveals.

"When I got up this morning I was going to trim my beard because I knew I was having this interview and I needed to look good. It's going quite grey, which I sometimes camouflage with Just For Men beard dye—do not put that in the article!—and I just didn't even have the energy," Ford dished

And it's not just his hygiene habits that have relaxed; it's his wardrobe ritual as well. While yes, he's still a meticulously dressed individual (he's the Tom Ford, after all!), the 53-year-old doesn't need to pick a pristine new suit every time he leaves the house, and even joked that his current getup needed a wash.

"This old dirty suit! I literally just pick up the suit from the night before and put it on," he told the London Evening Standard. "Sometimes I have other uniforms— jeans, a jean shirt and a different jacket — and it's one or the other of those outfits. I used to make more of an effort in the mornings but I don't anymore."

The 2014 CFDA Award Lifetime Achievement winner, who's famous for his naked ads and risqué designs, also admitted that fatherhood has cut into his gym time and healthy eating. Although he's not too worried about it, considering his newfound affinity for junk food.

"There may be a pack of Percy Pigs during the day or a couple of doughnuts, or if I'm in America, Hostess Donettes—those cheap little white powdery things. I mean, if I even see them, I have to eat the pack! So there's junk layered on top of a really healthy diet."

It's all good, Tom— you deserve a little break!
