My Big Fat Greek Wedding co-stars Nia Vardalos and Joey Fatone reunited Wednesday on the Toronto set of My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2.
The longtime pals were all smiles while getting to work on the sequel. The 52-year-old actress looked radiant in a white T-shirt dress. Meanwhile, the ‘N Sync singer, who plays Vardalos' cousin in the franchise, was outfitted in a formal black and white tux with a bow tie (perhaps he's dressed for another Greek wedding scene?).
Vardalos also shared an on0set Twitter pic inside a chapel with the caption, "I love Background Actors, especially ours who applauded after scenes today. #MyBigFatGreekWedding2."
It was announced last year that the popular 2002 comedy was getting a sequel. "I'm working on the MBFGWedding sequel; now that I'm experiencing motherhood I feel ready to write this next chapter," Vardalos announced on Twitter in May 2014. "A few jaded press corps will claim I ran out of money or just want to kiss John Corbett again. One of these things is true."
The actress added that "the entire big fat family is invited back for the sequel."
According to Variety, the story centers on "the lovably loud Portokalos family who return after a family secret is revealed and a bigger, fatter wedding brings the big fat Greek family back together again."
