For anyone who scoffs at the idea that perhaps this world would be a better place if children ran everything, we offer Exhibit A.

Aside from probably making it a rule that we have recess breaks in the middle of the day, along with naps, the most beneficial thing would be approaching every event with an open mind and an innocent heart.

SheKnows Media's Hatch program released a video today that shows a number of young kids reacting to Caitlyn Jenner transition, and even commenting on the positive and negative response the celeb has gotten since her Vanity Fair debut.

(With the release of her Vanity Fair cover on June 1, Caitlyn has chosen to publicly identify as a woman and E! News will refer to her using female pronouns. In stories published prior to this date, Caitlyn was referred to as Bruce and male pronouns were used.)

When asked to describe a photo of Jenner from the Olympics, the children said things like, "He's running" and "He has really strong arms." Then, they were shown the photo of Caitlyn in her red dress, posing inside of a luxury car, and they seemed to notice something different.

"I think she looks happy," one young girl said, while a young boy mentioned, "She looks calm. Confident. She looks happy." Another little girl said, "She looks like she's in charge and she knows what she's doing."

The kids are then asked, "What would happen if I told you that they're the same person?" There was a little confusion, some shock, and one boy asked, "How could a boy turn into a girl? That's impossible." But there was also an overwhelming reaction of love, empathy and acceptance.

"If that's how she is then that's fine," one child plainly stated. The children were shown both positive and negative tweets that were posted after Caitlyn was introduced to the world, and they were stunned at how mean some people were.

However, we became stunned at how mature their responses to those posts were. Seriously, our hearts almost couldn't handle it.

"I think they're just scared of change," said one boy. "And I think they just want everything to stay the same because they just don't know how to handle it."

He adds, "It's important to be yourself because if you're not yourself, then who are you?"

There could be hope for the future after all.
