Along with busting ghosts, Bill Murray also loves poetry.

The 64-year-old actor headed the march across the Brooklyn Bridge with Poet's House in celebration of the organization's 20th anniversary yesterday.

Poet's House provides a library and open space for poets to share their works with other poets and enthusiasts alike.

Murray was one of many to recite New York inspired poetry, including the very apropos "Crossing Brooklyn Ferry" by Walt Whitman

The Rushmore star told the New York Daily News, "It's beautiful to read with all of it happening right in front of your eyes."

Murray reminisced about arguably his most iconic role while walking the bridge. "We shot a scene for Ghostbusters right over here in this crazy courtroom building," he said. "That was fun. That was a Sunday morning with no traffic, and we blocked the streets with that crazy car. And we just ran red lights and ran around in circles in that car."

The SNL star has been affiliated with the poetry organization for years—having done previous readings— and wouldn't miss out on their big walk.

Murray has definitely made a habit of surprise appearances—he even crashed a total stranger's bachelor party one time!
