Although it seemed like Chris Brown was turning it all around since becoming a doting father to one-year-old daughter Royalty, it appeared that he still had some drama going on with ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran.

After a confrontation and fight ensued between the two of them last week at a Los Angeles nightclub, Brown once again seems intent on making amends with everyone whom he has hurt in the past. While stopping by On Air With Ryan Seacrest, Brown opened up about his tumultuous relationship with Tran, which allegedly ended because he had secretly fathered a child.

"I'm going to be honest and be a man about it and just take it one day at a time," Brown confessed. "I can't promise anything and I can't jump over the moon, but it takes time for all wounds [to heal]. I take full responsibility for my actions and things that I've done in the past. I feel like it's just a time thing."

But with everything going on in his life, including Royalty, Brown said he has to focus on his duty as a father rather than his romantic relationship with the model.

"I'm not a hateful person," he continued. "Of course I still love her, but mentally right now, I think everything takes time. I just need to focus on being the best father I can be."

Having gushed over his daughter, whom he shares with Nia Guzman, on all forms of social media, the "Gimme That" rapper dished to the radio hosts that he has learned a lot since becoming a dad.

"There comes a time when people kind of have to grow up and become more of an adult and take on different responsibilities," he spilled. "I think this was just a blessing in disguise with my daughter because I get a chance to look at her and teach her the right path and also be a father in my daughter's life."

He continued, "Just to see a smile on her face—just to see the littlest things—is emotional for me, so I just love that aspect of being able to be a father now."

As for what he plans to do in the future with Royalty, he said he's hoping he can finagle some playdates with North West and Blue Ivy Carter when he's not busy on his newly launched One Hell of a Nite Tour, which will take him cross-country for two months.

"I think it'll be good for just people to have fun and [I want to] put smiles on people's faces when I'm out onstage," he said.
